Spring is in full force and with it comes the weather that
just beckons our involvement in some outdoor activity.
Last Saturday when I woke up to the sun shining through my
window the plan was to get myself out into the bush and take some pictures. I know a spot where I can get in a fairly
easy walk. There are bears and hawks I could take some photos of in
the same area. I thought I would give the
vehicle a wash before heading out.
“What the heck was I thinking?!”
By the time I got out of the shower I was so exhausted I needed
to take a nap. All I could do was laugh
at myself. I still do not have a handle on what my energy level can manage.
Right now, I am clearly an over achiever in the making.
“This calls for plan B!”
I ended up resting for about 45 minutes and then called my friend,
Val. I headed off to her place to wash
my vehicle (with Val’s help, of course). I
was exhausted before we even finished.
In the end, I was able to complete the task. Granted it took me about 4x the amount of
time it would take for the average person, but I was able to complete it and
the vehicle looked great! Oh yes…honorable
mention for doing half of the work…my gal pal, Val.
I got some fresh air, some exercise, my heart rate up, and a
clean vehicle out of the deal.
Although I am not running on the same horse power these days
as I did 4 months ago, I still need to give myself a gentle pat on the back
when I am able to achieve even the smallest of tasks. In the end it was good to be out in
the sun and fresh air.
Enjoy the sunshine!
Deborah
