Week 5: Monday - Recharging My Internal Batteries

As I wind down from the festivities of the Easter Holiday weekend,  getting back into my daily routine can be a challenge for the first few days. I don't know about you but when family is visiting for any holiday I find myself eating some foods I wouldn't normally indulge in; I may stay up an hour or two later than usual; and my regular routine is put on hold.

Now, I don't consider this a bad thing.  I think shaking a few things up can be rather good for my overall constitution.  Sticking to a routine too tightly can place me in a bit of a rut and the HCV triple therapy is one of the most strict routines I have had to follow.

So, I spiced things up a bit!  I ate cheese cake and ice cream, I stayed up and played scrabble with my son and a friend until late or watched a movie, and I didn't get any house work or cooking done because I just didn't have the energy to do it.  I did, however, stick to the HCV therapy routine. All in all, it was a fabulous weekend!

Today I am back on my regular routine with one change - the HCV treatment nurse has recommended I switch my injection time from the a.m. to the p.m. this way I can get my bloodwork completed in the day before the peg-interferon.

Sometimes recharging my batteries takes shaking a few things up in my every day routine.

Wishing you a wonderful week.

Deborah

  1. A wise woman once told me that our body needs vibration to make things feel better..shaking is vibration, therefore...it's good. Shake n' bake my friend ;)
